Mr Larry Matlala is a dedicated, born-and-raised resident of Pitori who has spent his career building platforms that amplify African voices. As the CEO and Founder of Multiple Companies including the Famous Limpopo TV and Cape Town Radio, he created the first free-to-air television service ensuring every home in Limpopo can access high-quality broadcasting without a monthly subscription.
A true media pioneer, Larry is the Co-Founder and CEO of Cape Town Radio and The Voice Magazine – the first black-owned urban radio station serving the Cape community with news, talk, and Afrofusion culture PTA012:5]PTA012:7]. He's Famously know as The Rabbi and founded Multiple Successful Churches including The Cape City Church and as a CRL Commissioner Candidate, cementing his legacy as a Community Builder and Spiritual Leader who championed and Formed the South African Coucil of Charismatic Church (COCC) A United Voice of the CHurch agaisnt State Regulation of Religious and Faith Community PTA012:9].
Beyond Media, Larry founded the Men & Women of Influence Awards, celebrating trailblazers who fight gender-based violence and empower communities. The 4th Women of Influence Awards made history by honoring figures like Dr. Naledi Pandor and Dr. Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma. He also a Decorated Former Maths and Physics Teacher from Khayamnandi in Stellenbosch in Cape Town.
